As for the development team they came close to breaking their duck but it went down as a chance missed away vs Salford Victoria reserves. They started the game in typical fashion this season, conceding in the first  5 minutes, this woke the team up which lead to some of the best football they have actually played so far this season leading to some brilliant interchanges in the centre of the park with Jamie Iggy pulling the strings for paddock.

Immanuel Akinwale and Adam Magdi on the wings caused nightmares for the full backs all game as the match began swinging in Paddocks favour and they were rewarded for their efforts with a good team goal being finished off by Samiel Bahta. Less than 2 minutes later Salford regained the lead with another goal coming from Paddock’s own making. Paddock were once again awoken by the goal conceded, continuing to control the game and eventually scoring another well worked goal. Paddock came out for the second again controlling the tempo with the classy Abdullah Saeed leading the line.

Immanuel and Adam had now ran the full backs into the ground and this showed with most of the good work coming from wide and in the channels. Then the unthinkable happened when Immanuel turned his full back inside out and delivered a pin point cross for Abdullah to rise above the defence and head the ball back across the goalkeeper to send Paddock into the lead. As the game came into the last 20 minutes the experience levels showed as Salford hit Paddock twice on the break twice in quick succession to go 4-3 up, the boys threw everything they had at their opponents for the remainder of the game but that elusive victory still evaded Paddock Development’s squad who came the closest they’ve ever come to breaking their duck.
