Stretford paddock will be travelling to the west of the city where they will play North Walkden Reserves in the second round of the FA Manchester Amateur Cup.

After last weekend’s poor but victorious showing, Paddock will be hoping to improve on a “slow and pedestrian performance” in order to progress to round three of the cup, Martin Parker said following their 2-0 win against Hartford.

Paddock progressed to round two on the back of an eight-goal thriller away to Denton Town Reserves, winning by six goals to two.

The hosts this weekend progressed to round two after defeating Dunkfield Town Under 23’s five-four on penalties following a three all draw. Despite advancing to the second round, the hosts have played three games since and come into the game on the back of successive defeats.

Paddock will be without Omar Sinclair for the trip who remains injured and Kieron Molloy, who will serve the second of his three-match suspension. Last week’s impressive debutant and man of the match winner, is also unavailable for the trip as he attends a scholarship trial for US colleges.
