GREATER MANCHESTER WOMEN’S FOOTBALL LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

STRETFORD PADDOCK WOMEN

The Women’s team were a new addition for the 2025/26 season, and the first of many womens and girls sides to exist under the Paddock umbrella as we grow into a true academy club and community hub in Manchester.

Managed by Simon Holloway, the team competes in the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League Premier Division – Level 7 of English Women’s Football – having been promoted in their debut season.

Want to play? Drop our club staff a DM on Instagram if you’re an aspiring footballer who wants to help our womens team progress to the next level.

It’s early days for our women but they’re off to a bright start already with a first season promotion, so keep an eye on their fixtures and see if you can’t get along to show some support.

Every spectator counts at this level, and seeing and hearing that support will help inspire them to do more on the pitch. Who knows, you might even see future United or England stars in the process!

Here’s how promotion and progression would look for the Paddock Women…

GMWFL Division One

We started here, Level 8. Paddock were in the mix with the likes of Wilmslow Albion and Eccles United for our debut season.

Divisions Two and Three exist, as well as a four division U18 system.

GMWFL Premier Division

For the 2026/27 season Paddock are in the seventh division of English women’s football – joined by fellow promoted sides AFC Oldham 2005 and Wilmslow Albion from Division One.

Also present are Lymm Rovers, Oldham Athletic and… Hyde United. Some tasty local rivalries could be born!

North West Women’s Regional Football League Division One

Geography makes Level 6 a bit fiddly. We could be in the Northern, Central or Southern division. Think Accrington Stanley, Wigan Athletic, or Macclesfield.

North West Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division

Level 5 has notable names vying to enter the Women’s National League. FC United of Manchester, Tranmere Rovers, Bury, Crewe Alexandra, and Bolton Wanderers are all here.

Women’s National League Division One North

Entering into the WNL proper at Level 4 will pit you against Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, and Stockport County.

Women’s National League Northern Premier Division

Level 3 is purely a north/south divide, so Paddock would undoubtedly be northern. Stoke, West Brom, Middlesbrough, Hull City… it starts to get meaty here.

Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2)

We’ve gone national at Level 2. Formerly known as the Championship but rebranded for the 2025/26 season. Get the coach ready to travel to face Burnley, Newcastle, Forest, and more.

Women’s Super League (WSL)

Welcome to Level 1. The pinnacle of Women’s Football in England, and potentially in Europe.

Manchester derbies with United and City await…
